Hexbound Initiation: The Threads of Fate 

This adventure will take the players through a dangerous exam held by the Threaded coven, in order to be initiated in the art of witchcraft. Why your aspiring witch finds themselves walking this unconventional & perilous path rather than simply being initiated by their mentor is a question up to you to answer.

The exam or ”skeleton of this adventure” is a gauntlet of combat and puzzle-solving, but the meat of the adventure is in the creation of a Hexbound witch. Hexbound by Antonio Demico codifies the word “witch” to equal terms like wizard, sorcerer, or warlock.

Mechanically players will have their choice of a witch subclass of any of the 12 base 5e classes. Narratively, we’ll be fleshing out player character covens and mentors at the start of session and in flashbacks throughout.

For the purposes of this one-shot a Hexbound subclass is mandatory. This is a quirk of this one-shot and is not applicable to other Hexbound oneshots.
